Joe Lee

Intermediate Designer

Architect AIBC, LEED AP BD+C

"Creativity is to discover a question that has never been asked. If one brings up an idiosyncratic question, the answer he gives will necessarily be unique as well." – Kenya Hara

Joe is very passionate about his profession of architecture, having succeeded in earning both his registration as an architect and professional LEED AP BD+C credential during his first four years at LAI. With his aptitude for visualization and strong analytical skills, he has carved out a role in which his 3D drawings and design development play an integral part in many of the firm’s projects. He holds Bachelor of Environmental Design (Hons.) and Master of Architecture from UBC.

Joe finds joy in meaningful humanitarian work, such as designing an orphanage in Nepal and using photography to raise awareness of people’s needs in developing countries. He also finds joy in life’s simpler pleasures: drinking Matcha green tea, listening to audiobooks, and riding his quirky Brompton folding bike to work along the North Shore Spirit Trail.
