The design evolved with glass, stone, and Wood as primary elements to compliment the west coast forest and ocean milieu. Open plans flow seamlessly from interior spaces to exterior terraces overlooking the Garden and distant ocean. The Post and Beam structure delineates spaces and provides cadence to an otherwise open plan arrangement. Combined with other Wood elements such as flooring and millwork, the Interior is imbued with an overall sense of warmth and comfort. The roof is supported by a by a pair of offset beams, allowing the central portion to be removed. The overall effect is that of soaring independent roof elements counter balanced on post and beam supports, and connected with glass.
